Batgirl of Burnside (DC Compact Comics Edition)

Description

Batgirl of Burnside – one of the most famous modern DC reboots, now in the DC Compact Comics format: pocket-sized, affordable, 312 pages.

New look. New friends. New neighborhood. Barbara Gordon is moving to the trendiest district in Gotham – Burnside – with new roommates, a new school, a new costume, and a long-awaited life reboot. But when a fire destroys her old suit and gear, Babs gets the chance to become a completely different Batgirl.

As soon as she dons the new suit she made herself, she becomes Gotham's first viral vigilante – and attracts enemies who want that same spotlight for themselves. Suddenly, there are suspiciously many Batgirls in Burnside, and one of the impostors wants to kill the original.

And just when things start to come together, her father drops a bombshell: he is the new Batman. After the original Batman died in a battle with the Joker, the former police commissioner was given a high-tech suit. Jim Gordon's "law and order" Batman does not tolerate vigilantism – he has been ordered to arrest every unauthorized superhero in Gotham. And Batgirl is next on the list.

Behind the mask lies a regular life: a new group of friends, university lectures that make your head spin, and a dating scene that makes you want to disconnect from the world.
