Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mirage Facsimile #1

Description

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mirage Facsimile #1 – a faithful reprint of the legendary first issue, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.

This is the brutal beginning of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The four brothers are trained by their master Splinter, and they emerge from the shadows to resolve a blood feud with the deadly Foot Clan and its leader, Shredder.

Before the movies, before the animated series, and before the toy shelves, there was this gritty, black-and-white independent comic that changed an entire industry. This edition returns the reader to the New York sewers in the form the story first appeared in the Mirage Studios publication.

A Facsimile edition means that the issue is reproduced as closely as possible to the original – including the artwork of that era. This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most famous and expensive comics in history at the price of a regular issue.

Why Read It?

• A faithful reprint of 1984 TMNT #1 – original copies cost thousands on the collector's market.
• Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the very creators of the Turtles.
• Black and white, gritty, and significantly darker version than the animated series or movies.
• One of the most influential independent comics in history – it opened doors for an entire generation of indie publishing.
• 44 pages – significantly more than the usual 32-page issue.
• Larger 7.44" x 10.81" format, matching the original Mirage publication.
• A great gift for both long-time fans and those starting from the very roots.
