Batman Day 2026: Batman of Two Worlds

Description

Batman Day 2026: Batman of Two Worlds is a special one-shot issue dedicated to Batman Day 2026 (September 19). One comic, two brand-new stories featuring two different versions of the same hero.

Two universes. One legendary hero. The first story features the classic DC Universe Batman, written by Matt Fraction with art by Javi Fernández. The second features Absolute Batman from the Absolute Universe, with a script by Scott Snyder and art by Nick Derington.

Both stories are self-contained but connected by a common theme. As Scott Snyder puts it, they both deal with a heist—what it means in one universe versus the other, and what Batman’s brand of justice looks like in each world. Matt Fraction puts it even more simply: one problem, two solutions.

The result is a unique opportunity to see both Batman interpretations side-by-side: different moral and ethical frameworks, different Gothams, different methods. The cover, which brings both worlds together, is the work of Jorge Jiménez, Nick Dragotta, and Frank Martin.
